We support civil society organizations in their advocacy for the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, at both the national and international level
At the international level, we support access to the judgment implementation process at the Council of Europe, by:
providing alerts regarding relevant developments in the implementation process;
providing advice on how and when to make submissions;
providing feedback on draft written submissions;
liaising with the Department of Execution of Judgments regarding NGO submissions and setting up contact with members of the Council of Europe Secretariat;
organising oral briefings to members of the Committee of Ministers about the implementation of particular judgments..
At the national level, we support advocacy efforts by:
helping members and partner NGOs develop advocacy strategies,
bringing together coalitions to campaign for the implementation of ECtHR judgments,
providing guidance for setting up implementation hubs,
working with media to shine a light on implementation.
